Comprehensive data evaluation, research & sourcing of genetics from leading Angus sires both in Australia & USA ensures the stud’s gene pool is sleek, efficient & phenotypically sound.  With the increased importance of marbling (IMF) & EMA we select sires with  data traits that add value to our stud’s ‘core’ breeding criteria & complement the herd’s existing depth & quality.

Bringing leading industry sire, Hazeldean Jackpot & other Australian sires, including powerhouse sire, Texas Powerplay DXTP613, into the herd has introduced new genetics focused on producing sure-footed animals with quiet even temperaments, excellent genomics, EBV’s & good carcase traits.

Bulls from the renowned US Gardiner Angus Ranch feature heavily.  GAR Surefire, Sunrise & Profit bulls introduced in previous years have proven the value of the GAR bloodlines with the genetic improvements we have witnessed.  Current AI sires, GAR Hometown, Proactive & GAR Inertia are producing very tidy calves with heaps of style, carcase & are easy doing, along with good growth weights. The female progeny present with good frames & capacity.

Hazeldean Jackpot was purchased to blend through the herd to develop even stronger females & stylish, high performance moderate framed bulls that are docile, easy doing, feed efficient & whose weight gains are well in front.  This sire is leaving his mark on the breeding herd with the even-line of progeny he has now sired with the females retained & added to our core breeding herd.

A carcase driven bull, PA Full Power presents with high IMF & his progeny show good early growth data while keeping all other EBVs in proportion.  Suitable for both heifers and cows, Black Onyx sons present very well with great data sets & will deliver power early in any breeders’ program.  Texas K2 sons are powerful larger framed bulls which can be used to increase frame size & add volume.
